There is a range of adult activities on board the ship, including new world-class restaurants, unique bars and a spa offering specialty treatments.
During the ship’s naming ceremony, a select number of media representatives and guests were invited to view some of the new offerings.
To begin with, Disney Wish will feature dining options that offer incredible food created by award-winning chefs alongside beautiful décor.
“When it comes to adult food, we really wanted to give adults the opportunity to tell a little more stories in an elevated way on Disney Wish,” said Laura Cabo, Disney Portfolio Creative Executive.
On Deck 12 at the stern of the ship, guests will find The Rose, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté.
All three dining experiences are inspired by the hit Disney film Beauty and the Beast. The Rose is a chic lounge at the entrance of Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté.
Inspired by the fateful flower at the heart of the story, The Rose will provide an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or an after-dinner cocktail, executives said.
The intimate room is decorated in red and rich dark wood colors. The ceiling has a rose-inspired shape and the artwork behind the bar is covered in rose petals that create a gorgeous look when lit up at night.
At Palo Steakhouse, Imagineers were inspired by Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast. The steakhouse, which can also be found on other Disney ships, offers a selection of wines, pasta dishes, seafood and a 32-ounce steak called “The Cowboy”.
Just around the corner is Enchanté, a glitzy restaurant with a gourmet menu curated by three-Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement of L’Assiette Champenoise.
The romantic and intimate location plays with the dazzling candlelight and lavish hospitality of the film’s candelabra maitre d’, Lumiere. When guests first step in, they are greeted by a shimmering chandelier, fixtures and lighting that bring life to the two intimate dining areas and a private 10-seat dining room.
“As you walk in, you’ll see the beautiful blue carpet, the blue of which is from Belle’s dress, and all the gold and lightness from Lumiere,” Cabo described. “It’s a truly incredible setting and I think our guests will be mesmerized.”
The menu features premium produce and seasonal ingredients from around the world to create an exceptional ensemble of international dishes, the company says.
In other areas of the ship, passengers will find a few specialty bars that pay tribute to Disney stories.
Like every Disney Cruise Line ship, Disney Wish offers a collection of relaxed and sophisticated bars and lounges reserved exclusively for adults each night. For the first time, these venues are spread across the ship’s other central meeting points for a more flexible, free-flow experience that offers guests, particularly parents, more opportunities to spend time together during their cruise, the company said.
Some of these bars include the Princess and the Frog-inspired The Bayou, Cinderella’s Nightingale’s, Keg & Compass, and the extremely captivating Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge.
Reserved for adults every night, this bar experience features interactive taste experiences and unique drinks inspired by a galaxy far, far away. The venue’s elegant interior design and metallic details are reminiscent of a luxurious star cruiser, similar to Dryden Vos’ ship in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
“I personally call it the Mona Lisa from Disney Wish. Why? Because everyone wants to come to this place,” said Salah Chetbi, Food and Beverage Manager. “I hope guests take home the story, the experience of being immersed in the Star Wars world.”
After a meal and a few drinks, adults relax in the ship’s Senses Spa.
For the first time aboard a Disney ship, Senses Spa features a dedicated outdoor relaxation area that includes whirlpools, plush loungers, and even yoga sessions.
In the spa’s Rainforest Room, guests are introduced to the fleet’s first ice lounge, which allows guests to combine thermal therapies and promote both physical well-being and tranquility.
It also includes features popular with guests such as heated ergonomic loungers, sensory spa showers, and sauna, steam, and drying chambers.
“There are so many areas for adults to enjoy on the ship, but here you can come, relax and let us take care of you. Wellness done beautifully, as we like to say,” said Gary LaTouche, Director of Hotel Operations and Retail.
Senses Spa also offers private treatment rooms and lavish spa villas for couples. In addition to a range of massage, facial and acupuncture therapies, guests can choose from specialized treatments tailored to their needs, such as: B. Pain management and sleep improvement.
Adjacent to the spa is the newly designed Senses Fitness Center, which offers state-of-the-art exercise equipment, including a main room with exercise machines, a dedicated bike studio, and an aerobics room.
Disney Wish will embark on her maiden voyage on July 14, followed by a season of three- and four-day cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
