Ring in the fourth with the Mundelein Community Days celebrations

Music, a carnival and even a butterfly release are the highlights of Mundelein Community Days 2022, taking place Friday through Monday, July 1st through 4th. Most events are held at Kracklauer Park, 116 N Lake St., Mundelein.

Carnival times are Friday from 5pm to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 11pm and Monday from 2pm to 10pm.

Activities include a carnival sponsored by American Legion Post 867 every four days, fireworks on July 4th at approximately 9:30pm, parade on July 3rd, food, music, games, contests, demonstrations , shows and many activities for children.

New activities and events this year include the Kirk Players Improv Team, Great Big Bubble Making, Princess Meet and Greet and Decorate Your Own Butterfly and Live Butterfly Release by the Beautification Committee.

Saturday, July 2nd is Alumni Night. Represent Mundelein High School or Carmel Catholic High School by wearing school colors.

Come along to the popular musical performances that will grace the stage at Mundelein Community Days. Bands include Gina Gonzalez & the Wingmen, who perform ’90s American alternative rock peppered with favorite songs from every generation; Brass From The Past, a horn band performing hits from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s; Brushville plays upbeat country; Second Hand Soul Band featuring Motown, Funk and Soul; Kashmir, a tribute band to Led Zeppelin; Kevin Purcell & the Nightburners play boogie blues rock with a touch of swampy funk; local favorite 7th Heaven; and RealTime Noise with party tunes, classic rock and R&B.
