SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Saturday in the Park has been a Siouxland tradition for 30 years, and there are several performers and other activities for you to enjoy. Here’s everything you need to know about Saturday in the Park 2022 in one place.
Many struggle to find parking each year, so those looking to skip parking altogether can use Sioux City’s public transit system on Saturday. The route starts at 11:00 am and lasts until 11:30 am. Pickup and drop-off is outside the main entrance of the Tyson Events Center and the south entrance of Grandview Park on 24th Street. Click here for Saturday in the 2022 park route map.
Sioux City Transit recommends purchasing your round trip token in advance, drivers accept cash but cannot take change.
Adults – $1.80 one way or $3.60 round trip.
Student – $1.55 one way or $3.10 round trip.
Seniors and Disabled – $0.90 one way or $1.80 round trip.
Children under the age of five – free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
Saturday at the park begins at 12:00pm and ends at 10:30pm. As always, the event is free. Food, beverages and other items will be available for purchase during the event, including a 2022 edition of Saturday in the Park t-shirts.
The Kid’s Zone is open from 12pm to 7pm and wristbands can be purchased for bouncy castles. Parents are advised to have their children wear socks or bring socks with them, as bouncy castles can get too hot for their feet. The zone features entertainers, bouncy castles, food vendors, and other activities throughout the day.
The event concludes with fireworks over Grandview Park presented by the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.
