Kennesaw’s Salute to America, spanning more than 50 years, will continue in 2022 with music on two stages, booths and bouncy castles for a fee. The Kennesaw Parks & Rec’ Kids’ Parade begins at 12:00 p.m. in Commemorative Park and travels down Main Street before ending at City Hall.
Be sure to stay close for the fireworks finale at 9:30pm. Bring a blanket or a low-backed chair if you want to be more comfortable. You can also reserve a table for six in front of the Depot Stage for $75.

Find plenty of fun ways to spend the day at Marietta’s Fourth in the Park Celebration, which begins at 10:00 am with a Let Freedom Ring parade. The all-day festival includes arts and crafts, a kids’ zone, and carnival games and feasts — starting at the same time and ending at 9:00 p.m. The evening concludes with a concert from 8pm to 9:30pm featuring Departure: The Journey Tribute Band and fireworks after dark.

Dunwoody’s Fourth of July Parade features festive floats, marching bands, vintage cars, clowns and animals. This year’s theme is Parade of Stars. The event is so popular that it now has more than 2,500 participants and over 32,000 spectators.
To watch the parade, set up a chair at Mt. Vernon and go around the Dunwoody Village Parkway to Dunwoody Village. Sightseeing begins on the west side of Jett Ferry on Mt Vernon.

Join Decatur’s Pied Piper Parade by walking, biking, or skating along the route, or help a neighborhood or organization build a float. The parade is followed by the Concert on the Square with the Callanwolde Concert Band. The night ends with fireworks.
