Kennesaw’s Salute to America celebration will be held on Sunday, July 3 with a children’s parade, fireworks and more.

Kennesaw’s Salute to America, spanning more than 50 years, will continue in 2022 with music on two stages, booths and bouncy castles for a fee. The Kennesaw Parks & Rec’ Kids’ Parade begins at 12:00 p.m. in Commemorative Park and travels down Main Street before ending at City Hall.

Be sure to stay close for the fireworks finale at 9:30pm. Bring a blanket or a low-backed chair if you want to be more comfortable. You can also reserve a table for six in front of the Depot Stage for $75.

Find plenty of fun ways to spend the day at Marietta’s Fourth in the Park Celebration, which begins at 10:00 am with a Let Freedom Ring parade. The all-day festival includes arts and crafts, a kids’ zone, and carnival games and feasts — starting at the same time and ending at 9:00 p.m. The evening concludes with a concert from 8pm to 9:30pm featuring Departure: The Journey Tribute Band and fireworks after dark.

The Atlanta Braves will start a three-game home series against the St. Louis Cardinals on the 4th. A special fireworks display will be presented after the game on July 4th.

Snellville’s Independence Day celebrations feature festive dining, a large inflatable playground, the KAHUNA waterslide, train rides, nine-hole miniature golf and more. To ride and play as many times as you like during the event, purchase a $10 wristband. The ticket office closes at 8pm and all rides close at 9pm

Dunwoody’s Fourth of July Parade features festive floats, marching bands, vintage cars, clowns and animals. This year’s theme is Parade of Stars. The event is so popular that it now has more than 2,500 participants and over 32,000 spectators.

To watch the parade, set up a chair at Mt. Vernon and go around the Dunwoody Village Parkway to Dunwoody Village. Sightseeing begins on the west side of Jett Ferry on Mt Vernon.

6pm parade, 7pm concert, 9pm (approx) fireworks. Monday 4th July. For free. Decatur Square, 101 E Court Square, Decatur.

Join Decatur’s Pied Piper Parade by walking, biking, or skating along the route, or help a neighborhood or organization build a float. The parade is followed by the Concert on the Square with the Callanwolde Concert Band. The night ends with fireworks.

Bring a picnic if you like and watch a twilight fireworks display at Alpharetta. Charcoal grills are prohibited, but small propane grills are allowed with a permit given to the first 50 applicants. Email hlew@alpharetta.ga.us to apply for a BBQ permit.

Norcross is hosting a block party prior to July 4th with bouncy castles (for a small fee), face painting, a kids’ area, a DJ performance, food vendors and fireworks. A shuttle will operate continuously from Norcross First United and One Heart churches to facilitate attendee transportation.
