MAGIC OF LIGHTS

Enjoy a magical ride through the magic of lights at Wesley Clover Parks this holiday season.

“Magic of Lights is a dazzling drive-through festive lights experience showcasing the season’s most beloved holiday scenes and characters using the latest in LED technology and digital animation,” the website reads.

This year, Magic of Lights features Mark Motors Group’s “Holiday Pit Stop,” where guests can park and explore the winter wonderland.

Magic of Lights runs until January 7th.

CN HOLIDAY TRAIN

The CN Holiday Train travels through Eastern Ontario on November 28th and 29th.

On November 28, the CN Holiday Train stops in Finch (2:30pm), Merrickville (4:45pm), Smiths Falls (6:20pm) and Perth (7:40pm).

On November 29th the train stops at 9:30am in Belleville and at 10:45am in Trenton

The musical performers will be Tenille Townes and Aysanabee.

WINTER LIGHTS OVER CANADA

This holiday season, don’t miss an insightful experience on Parliament Hill.

Winter Lights Across Canada is a multimedia projection show that combines digital imagery with a soundtrack to follow “bright sparks sweeping across Canadian landscapes.”

The event takes place on Thursdays to Mondays from December 8th to January 8th.

Be enchanted by the Pathway of Lights this holiday season as well. Thousands of lights illuminate Confederation Boulevard including Rideau Canal Park, Confederation Park, Jacques-Cartier Park, the National War Memorial, Portage Park and more.

SAUNDERS FARM

Celebrate a country Christmas this holiday season at Saunders Farm on Bleeks Road in Munster.

Country Christmas Days take place on Saturdays and Sundays from November 26th to December 18th. Country Christmas Days features mazes, a maze lookout tower, four play structures, a wagon ride around the farm, a visit to the gang of elves and Santa in his cabin.

This year, Saunders Farm invites you to attend the brand new Holiday Light Festival. It is a walking trail decorated with thousands of colorful lights and music on the 180 year old family farm.

The Holiday Light Festival takes place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from December 1st to 23rd.

STANLEY’S OLDE MAPLE LANE FARM

The Christmas Village is back this holiday season at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm. Explore the village and play games, sing songs and warm up with Santa’s elves around the campfire and see Santa.

Christmas Village is open on Dec 3, Dec 4, Dec 10, Dec 11, Dec 17 and Dec 18.

A new experience is also available this year – the Christmas Walk through the Maple Forest, which is adorned with beautiful Christmas lights and decorations.

OTTAWA CHRISTMAS MARKET

There’s a festive mood at the Ottawa Christmas Market.

Located on Aberdeen Square in Lansdowne Park, enjoy holiday entertainment, local food and Christmas shopping.

Over 35 local vendors will be on display at the Christmas market and there will be a Santa Claus workshop with free crafts for children.

Musical performers include Alex Goupil, Annie Martel, Aurora Jade, Canadian Showtime Chorus, Chantal Hackett Band, Erica Brighthill, Jessica Pearson, Highway Sunrise, JW-Jones, Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus, OK Naledi, Tara Shannon and The lionyls.

TREES OF HOPE

Trees of Hope for CHEO are back at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier this holiday season.

Businesses and organizations participate by decorating Christmas trees that are on display at the downtown Ottawa hotel during the season.

The trees will be decorated on November 28th.

VINTAGE VILLAGE OF LIGHTS

Visit the Vintage Village of Lights at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum.

Enjoy the postcard setting of a 1920s and 30s village on foot as you explore the festive light show.

Vintage Village of Lights takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 2nd to 28th.

The cost is $25 per group.

GET OUT AT NIGHT

Stroll through historic Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg and see over a million lights.

Alight at Night brings Christmas magic to the historic buildings, trees and fences this holiday season.

RIVER OF LIGHTS IN BROCKVILLE

Blockhouse Island in Brockville is lit up for the River of Lights this holiday season.

The full light and sound show runs daily from 6pm to 10pm, while the lights are on from 5pm to 6pm and from 10pm to 11pm

River of Lights runs from November 25th to January 2nd.

The Festival of Lights lights up Perth this holiday season.

This holiday season, enjoy a 75-minute trolley tour of Kingston’s Christmas Lights.

RICHMOND CHRISTMAS MARKET

The Christmas Market is located in Richmond Village in Ottawa’s West End at 6095 Perth St. and takes place indoors in the 2nd floor concourse (corner of Huntley Road and Perth Street).

​Christmas market opening hours: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday 27 November.

As well as local artisans, there will be food and drink for sale from the Richmond 4H Club and a local musician who will also make balloon animals for children.
